We hope all of our club members have stayed safe and well in recent times.
We wanted to provide an update to our members on our current stance regarding the ongoing coronavirus situation.
Although we may appear to have been quiet, behind the scenes we have still been working hard rearranging and securing future events and drafting up some great initiatives to move the club forward. Unfortunately, the coronavirus crisis put a stop to most of our plans and we have been unable to expand our management team as we had hoped.
As it stands currently public gatherings of more than 30 people are prohibited in law and there are heavy penalties in place for those that ignore the rules. Guidelines still urge us to avoid meetings of more than 6 people from different households in an outdoor space and two households indoors.
Furthermore, Cafés, Restaurants and Pubs that are able to reopen, will be placed under heavy restrictions to enforce social distancing. Many venues will be operating a pre-book only policy and all venues will be required to record the personal details of anyone entering their premises.
It would not be in the interest of our members health and wellbeing, and we would be against the government guidelines if we were to encourage and arrange gatherings.
Until it becomes a time that restrictions are lifted to allow such events, we will not be arranging any meets and will actively discourage others from doing so.
On a more positive note we will soon be releasing details of our future events booked for later in the year, in the hope that restrictions will be lifted to allow them to go ahead.
Looking forward to seeing you all when circumstances allow.
